Oasis Day School follows the requirements and guidelines of the North Carolina Division of Non Public Education. While we determine an approximate grade level, we also develop an individual approach for each child that will allow the student to progress at his/her own pace. It is more important to us that a child develops a deeper understanding of a concept or skill, regardless of the grade level he/she might be assigned to in a public school.
Each child participates in lessons with individualized accommodations as needed, depending on his/her needs. Children are in multi-aged classrooms and will work in small groups and/or individually. Caregivers will be provided daily or weekly reports and a quarterly portfolio review. Parents are invited to review student work quarterly and given progress reports at that time. Our staff willingly shares strategies and ideas that are working to help our students generalize across other people, places, and situations.
